The Vaca Jazz Society presents A Day of Jazz!, the Vacaville Jazz Festival 2026, at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theatre on Saturday, September 19. Led by Duncan McElman and the jazz faculty of Sacramento State, the day features free clinics and improv workshops on trumpet, trombone, sax, bass, piano and guitar, plus a Young Musicians Showcase from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Rowland Freedom Center holds its fifth annual Planes, Trains & Automobiles at the historic Nut Tree Airport in Vacaville, opening Saturday, September 26 at 9:00 AM. The weekend brings classic cars and trucks, exotic cars, vintage planes and model trains, with a car show running both days. Families can visit the SpiritHorse Equine petting zoo, ride the CA Dream Express train, and take in model rocket displays, a family fun zone, music and food.
