Betty's BBQ and Bless Her Brew will have food and drinks available for purchase at 675 N. Orchard Ave.

The Sacramento Valley National Cemetery Support Committee holds its annual Tri-Tip Steak & Chicken Fundraiser Dinner at Vacaville Veterans Hall on Saturday, August 29. Doors open at 5:00 PM and dinner runs 6:00 to 7:15 PM: sliced tri-tip, chicken, red potatoes, vegetables and a roll from Merchant & Main, dine in or take out. There is a no-host bar, DJ Talley, a raffle, and silent and dessert auctions. Tickets are $60, or $420 for a table of eight, advance purchase only by August 24. Proceeds benefit the Avenue of Flags.

This free community event pairs a screening of Gabby Petito's story with a panel featuring her parents alongside Joseph Hunter and Cliantha Miller Finn, with light refreshments served. The evening is aimed at helping parents, educators and neighbors recognize the signs of dating violence and start those conversations early. Seats should be reserved in advance.

Cocktails for a Cause

Six bartenders compete for the crowd's choice cocktail, and the winning drink is featured at the Festival of Trees Gala on November 30. A ticket covers entry and a tasting passport for every competitor's creation, with light bites served. All proceeds support Opportunity House shelters and programs.
